Meet Local Osteopath Joanne Meon

Joanne Meon

Jo joined the team at Fluid Motion in 2021 and now we don’t know what we would do without her! Always a calm and steady influence in the clinic, Jo has special interest in treating babies. She offers gentle hands-on help for unsettled babies, torticollis, colic, reflux, feeding and latching difficulties, headshaping, shoulder dystocia and general post-natal and musculoskeletal check-ups. She aims to provide a safe, supportive space for parents and baby. She will listen to your concerns, explain treatment options and offer advice that empowers you and your child. Where required she will work with your GP/ Nurse/Lactation Consultant and/or paediatrician to provide the best possible care for your family.

Jo is also one of only a handful of osteopaths in Australia trained to assess and treat pelvic health conditions such as light bladder leakage and urgency, pelvic girdle pain, vaginismus, dyspareunia, vulvodynia, pudendal neuralgia and coccydynia and general pelvic floor concerns.

Apart from paediatric and pelvic health, Jo’s general treatment approach includes soft tissue therapy, myofascial techniques, dry needling, manipulation, and Osteopathy in the Cranial Field, along with ergonomic advice and rehabilitative exercises.

Jo was drawn to Osteopathy after suffering from chronic pain following the birth of her first child which was helped by the holistic diagnosis and treatment provided by Osteopathy. Her previous experience includes working in a private hospital in Goa, India treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions and managing chronic pain patients for BUPA.
